Ahrre's Coffee Roastery, based in Westfield, NJ, will return to Summit after a 15-year absence. Owner and Roastmaster, Ahrre Maros, has secured a spot within Mondo Summit -- a 'Chelsea Market' style venture -- slated to open in downtown Summit, sometime mid April.
Ahrre Maros, a Summit native and graduate of Summit High School, opened his first Coffee Roastery in Cranford, NJ, in February of 1990. Within the first three years, he grew the business to three locations; the first in Cranford, the second in Westfield and the third (known as Ahrre's Coffee Roastery at the Common Ground Café) in Summit. The Cranford and Summit locations both closed back in the mid 90's, but his Westfield location continues to thrive as does his internet presence. Ahrre has long awaited the opportunity to return to his hometown of Summit!
The concept is simple.... A coffee bar and gourmet coffee retail store where only the freshest and highest quality coffees are available.
Ahrre's Coffee Roastery sources only the highest grade of Arabica Coffee available from around the world. The beans are roasted in small 25-pound batches, as needed, to maintain their high standards of freshness. Though similar high-grade Arabica beans are available at Gourmet Stores and even at finer Supermarkets, because of the small batch roasting process, Ahrre’s Coffees will be far fresher and therefore far more flavorful and aromatic.
